As Project Manager for Metro Arts Nashville, I managed a $325,000 budget, including a $250,000 commission for artist Gordon Huether’s vibrant installation in the main corridor of the new Old Hickory Community Center in Old Hickory, TN.
Crafted from dichroic film on plexiglass and hanging glass prisms that catch the light, the artwork features majestic Blue Herons whose expansive wings symbolize community unity and progressive history. The project was successfully executed through close collaboration with Metro Parks, Old Hickory Library, Solomon Builders, EOA Architects, and Councilmember Jeff Eslick.
