Born into a culture where artistic practices are deeply interwoven into daily life, art is the foundation of my existence. This connection resonates in many cultures around the globe, where art unites communities through vibrant traditional attire, music, dance, decorations, and cherished meals.

As a toddler, little did I realize that the artistic spirit cultivated within me would travel along, helping my family and me assimilate into a community that was meant for us to be a part of. Allowing us to have a home in a new world.

Embracing art as a central part of my identity opened up innumerable opportunities and doors. Whether it was joining the school band, participating in drama class, taking art classes, or pursuing various artistic endeavors, these experiences unexpectedly paved the way to a career path and life I had never envisioned.

This realization fuels my commitment to my arts community, as it is my home. There’s a profound sense of belonging when I attend a local performance, explore a new exhibition, or support a friend on their artistic journey. As in a cascading effect, the fervor for my community inspires me to seek out other communities across the globe, fostering cultural exchanges that allow me to return with new ideas and contributions that will allow me to enrich my own.
